AimNet Solutions today announced a premier Web-enabled Managed Internetworking Service (MIS) that offers clients a robust set of flexible, comprehensive end-to-end architecture, design, implementation and management options for their e-business networks.

MIS offers operations support from network monitoring and full fault management to performance and capacity management. The MIS Web-enabled portal provides customers with a real-time view of the status of their network, the ability to open and monitor trouble tickets, and access to real time reports.

MIS offers end-to-end management of network devices, transport and protocols to allow clients to connect multiple, geographically distributed sites in order to conduct e-business.

The network devices and applications are monitored and managed remotely by the AimNet Network Operations Center in Holliston, MA, with a back up facility located in Tampa, FL. Lifecycle support, change management and on site maintenance are included in the service.

The MIS support packages are:

- Network Architecture & Deployment Package - includes network design, network
engineering and network implementation. Each of these functions can be
purchased independently from one another or as a group.

- Monitoring Package - includes network review, network and equipment
monitoring, network support desk tier 2 and reporting.

- Fault Management Package - includes all of the components of the first two
plus fault configuration management, change management and performance
reporting.

In addition to the base configurations and features, the following lifecycle management options are available:

- Ongoing network planning

- Performance capacity planning and troubleshooting

- Performance capacity management

MIS client trials are scheduled to begin in February with general availability in March.
