Aids alarm for tourists.


SOUTH Africa has one of the most catastrophic Aids problems in the world.

An estimated 5.7 million people were living with HIV HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), either of two closely related retroviruses that invade T-helper lymphocytes and are responsible for AIDS. There are two types of HIV: HIV-1 and HIV-2. HIV-1 is responsible for the vast majority of AIDS in the United States.  two year ago with hundreds dying every day.

Several different factors have been blamed including the sex industry.

Prostitution has been illegal since the 50s but it is rife and many prostitutes do not use condoms.

It is one of the reasons there have been calls to legalise Verb 1. legalise - make legal; "Marijuana should be legalized"
