Weapons of mass destruction can be high explosives or nuclear, biological, chemical, and radiological weapons, but exclude the means of transporting or and should, instead, resort to cultural engagement. "Atom bomb and weapons of mass destruction have not solved man's problem and have not brought prosperity. Man today needs cultural and intellectual engagement and relations instead," said President Ahmadinejad in an address to the closing ceremony of the International Avicenna Festival.He said that's human aspect, thought and culture that make man perfect.He added that today, humanistic and cultural meetings are more vital than the vain political meetings.Referring to the joint proposal of Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan to designate the year 2010 as the year of cultural proximity and convergence, President Ahmadinejad said it will be a good opportunity for nations and human communities to upgrade cultural ties.He added that the road to perfection would be trodden trod·den v.
