Agrium to Present at Merrill Lynch Chemicals Conference.

CALGARY, Alberta -- Agrium Inc. (TSX:AGU) (NYSE:AGU) announced today that Mr. Mike Wilson, Agrium's President and CEO, will be presenting at the Merrill Lynch Chemicals Conference in New York on Tuesday, March 15th, 2005 at 1:45 p.m. ET.

Agrium will host a live audio webcast of the presentation at www.agrium.com, expected to be approximately 40 minutes in length. The presentation will be archived on the Company's website for one year.
