Agriculture Executive, Hewlett-Packard Manager Comment on Gubernatorial Debate; First-Hand Observations on Davis-Lungren Exchange.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 1998--After watching the latest debate between the gubernatorial candidates, two members of the audience had the following comments:

John Kautz, chairman of Kautz Ironstone Vineyards and owner of John Kautz Farms, Lodi, said: "Dan Lungren won, hands down. Gray Davis was very flustered. He never directly answered any of the questions. He skirted around and would come right back to the theme that he's got: assault weapons, abortion and vouchers. Dan was very clear, very precise in his answers. He answered the questions. He did a very, very good job."
