The 2002 National Agriculture Day program celebrates America's diversity of landscapes and how agriculture sows them together and brings harmony to our great land. Each year the National Agriculture Day program gathers members of the industry together in an effort to educate consumers about American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of agriculture. Focused on sharing how agriculture provides almost everything we eat, use and wear on a daily basis, the Ag Day program helps educate millions of consumers each year. As many of you may already be aware, the Ag Day program was actually an effort that began back in 1973 by NAMA members.
