Barbados is seeking a US$3.2 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank for Agricultural Health and Food Safety (BA-L1008). The project would comprise: (a) updating and enhancing of the legal and institutional framework of the National Agricultural Health and Food Safety System; (b) institutional strengthening of the public agencies involved; (c) upgrading and refurbishing of agricultural laboratories.
