Agricore and UGG, both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, agreed to a merger plan creating Agricore United, western Canada's leading agri-business. Combining the companies will generate significant benefits for farmer-members and shareholders of both Agricore and UGG. Under the combined company, current farm customers of Agricore will be gaining access to UGG's strengths in seed, livestock and linkages to end-use markets. Current customers of UGG will be able to draw on Agricore's acknowledged strengths in special crops, farm inputs and west coast throughput capacity.
