Agility Defense & Government Services Awarded Second Option Year on US Army's $1.5 Billion Heavy Lift IV Contract.


Logistics Leader Extends Specialized Heavy-Lift Transportation Services for the US Army

), formerly PWC Logistics, today announced that it has been awarded a second one-year option on the US Army's Heavy Lift IV contract to provide transportation services for military personnel, supplies, and equipment for all destinations within 1,000 km of Camp Arifjan Camp Arifjan is a United States Army base with elements of the US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Navy and US Coast Guard stationed there as well. Romanian, Polish, Australian and British military personnel are also stationed at Camp Arifjan. , Kuwait. The extension was awarded by the US Army Contracting Command SWA-Kuwait and continues Agility's engagement for Heavy Lift VI through 30 June, 2008.

First awarded in June 2005, Heavy Lift VI was the largest heavy-lift transportation contract in US Military history. For Heavy Lift VI, Agility provides and operates vehicles, including heavy equipment transport (HET) and flatbed trailers, to support the US Army's supply line needs in Iraq and Kuwait. Servicing Heavy Lift VI requires Agility to provide skilled personnel to handle loading, transportation, and maintenance operations.
