Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced it will demonstrate a variety of semiconductor test systems that balance price with performance, creating valuable test solutions for China's burgeoning semiconductor industry.

Agilent will demonstrate its test solutions in SOC test, wafer sort, and smart card IC test. CPU test will be demonstrated on the Agilent 93000 C400e-model using China's first low-power, 400MHz, 32-bit CPU, the Arca II. In addition, the Agilent 4072B parametric tester will demonstrate its ability to test packaged devices. The company will also demonstrate the Agilent Versatest Model V3300, showcasing the platform's low-cost solution for contactless smart card ICs using CIDC CIDC - Central Institute for Animal Disease Control (The Netherlands)

In addition to supporting the region's vigorous business growth, Agilent also opened the Shanghai Application Development Center in July 2002 to advance software development, as well as facilitate the continued education of local professionals in the semiconductor arena.
