Agilent Provides Growing Chinese Semiconductor Industry with

Scalable Platforms that Provide Multiple Solutions for Long-Term Test

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced it will demonstrate a variety of semiconductor test systems that balance price with performance, creating valuable test solutions for China's burgeoning semiconductor industry.

Agilent will demonstrate its test solutions in SOC test, wafer sort, and smart card IC test. CPU test will be demonstrated on the Agilent 93000 C400e-model using China's first low-power, 400MHz, 32-bit CPU, the Arca II. In addition, the Agilent 4072B parametric tester will demonstrate its ability to test packaged devices. The company will also demonstrate the Agilent Versatest Model V3300, showcasing the platform's low-cost solution for contactless smart card ICs using CIDC's (China Integrated Circuit Design Centre) new contactless smart card IC.

Asia represents a significant growth opportunity for semiconductor manufacturing, with China accounting for the largest portion of the Asian market. Agilent began cultivating the Chinese semiconductor market more than 10 years ago and is now recognized as a valuable partner to China's developing high tech industries.
