(NYSE:A) today announced that it has received Frost & Sullivan's 2003 Product Line Award for its industry-leading line of test and inspection solutions for printed circuit board assembly. Agilent's test and inspection solutions for solder paste inspection, automated optical inspection, automatic X-ray test, in-circuit test and functional test enable printed circuit board manufacturers to maximize fault coverage and increase reliability in devices ranging from consumer electronics to industrial electronic systems.

The 5DX -- system can detect up to 90 percent of all physical manufacturing defects quickly and precisely. Measurements taken by the 5DX provide extensive defect and process control data, enabling test engineers to efficiently and economically fix defects and make changes to avoid producing additional defects.
