:A) has appointed Paul N. Clark to its board of directors. Clark is the chairman, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of ICOS Corporation, a healthcare products manufacturer based in Bothell, Wash.

Prior to joining ICOS, Clark served as executive vice president and board member of Abbott Labs, and held executive positions with Marion Laboratories and Sandoz Pharmaceuticals.

James Cullen, non-executive chairman of Agilent's Board said, "Paul brings to our board a strong background in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, which will be a great asset to us as we continue to pursue growth opportunities in the $20 billion bio-analytical market.
