:A) today announced that it is the first company to deliver a small-form-factor (SFF) fiber-optic transceiver for 155 Mb/s SONET/SDH (OC-3) long-reach applications. Agilent, the world's leading supplier of fiber-optic transceivers, has previously introduced short-reach and intermediate-reach OC-3 transceivers in SFF format, and is the only vendor with a complete suite of products for this application.

Agilent has pioneered small-form-factor products, becoming the first company to ship a million MT-RJ MT-RJ Mechanical Transfer - Registered Jack  SFF transceivers. MT-RJ devices are half the size of traditional duplex products, allowing networking equipment manufacturers to double port density for lower cost.

U.S. Pricing and Availability

The Agilent HFCT-5915E is available now in production quantities. It is priced between $200 and $250 per unit depending on quantities.
