The Security Pack is an add-on software module for Agilent ChemStation Plus for GC, LC, CE, LC-MSD and CE-MSD techniques. The Security Pack can be installed easily on an existing Agilent ChemStation Plus or set up as part of a new, fully-secured networked data system. It provides users with a plug-and-go solution for data security, data integrity and user-independent audit-trails that fulfills the FDA requirement. The Security Pack ensures data security through:
-- password protection at logon and for all sensitive review
activities;
-- Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R) file security combined with the
data-security features of the Oracle(R) database; and
-- a time-based application lock to prevent any unauthorized
modification.
Additional features of the Security Pack include automated versioning of reanalysis cycles as well as storage of relevant instrument and column data, together with result, raw and metadata from the analysis. Audit-trails document changes of instrument parameters, re-analysis cycles, and review/approval activities in instrument and application logbooks or as separate documentation. All audit-trails are generated user-independently and can be copied or printed. A built-in archiving routine, which is also documented and protected with audit-trails, provides for long-term archiving and fulfills the requirements for data copy and storage under the FDA ruling.
