are used in access, metro and wide area networks.

The Agilent 93000 SOC Series high-speed test platform architecture enables Exar to scale to future performance needs and provides a long-term test solution for its product roadmap. In addition, the wide installed base of the Agilent 93000 among semiconductor contract manufacturers gives Exar the flexibility to outsource production test of its products if necessary.

"Our selection of the Agilent 93000 SOC Series was based on its high-speed testing capabilities and long-term architecture roadmap that is scalable to meet the changing needs of our customers," said Steve Michael, Exar's vice president of Operations and Reliability & Quality Assurance. "High performance combined with the industry's lowest cost per pin make the 93000 SOC Series an optimal investment for testing our advanced communication devices."

"We're delighted to be working with Exar to help them meet their high-speed testing needs," said Tom Newsom, vice president and general manager of Agilent's SOC Business Unit. "Agilent's single, scalable platform architecture enables customers to keep pace with changing test needs based on device performance while protecting their existing investment in test equipment."
