:A) today introduced a series of products and services to speed the deployment and performance of third-generation (3G) cdma2000 networks. New products include the industry's only cdma2000 base station over-air maintenance tool and the only cdma2000 network planning and design Network planning and design is an iterative process, encompassing topological design, network-synthesis, and network-realization, and is aimed at ensuring that a new network or service meets the needs of the subscriber and operator [1].  tool that models network conditions at the deployment phase.

When coupled with Agilent's new wireless network optimization platform, analysis software and mobile station test set, these solutions give wireless service providers and network infrastructure providers the leading-edge tools necessary to plan, install, optimize optimize - optimisation  and manage cdma2000 networks. The new products and services include:
-- The Agilent E6474A base station over-air maintenance tool -- by offering the
industry's only cdma2000 over-air tester, Agilent has introduced a solution
that greatly reduces the time and resources required to accurately identify and
solve cdma2000 network problems in the field. Typically operated from inside a
service vehicle, the base station over-air maintenance tool reduces the time
necessary to test a base station by eliminating the need for technicians to
leave their vehicles to perform first-level diagnostics. Since technician time
is used more efficiently, service providers can now perform additional testing
of base stations, reducing downtime and overall maintenance costs.

-- The Agilent E6474A wireless network optimization platform -- Agilent's
wireless network optimization platform is a comprehensive system for service
providers and equipment manufacturers to optimize and benchmark cdma2000
networks. By measuring radio link protocol (RLP), application and IP layer data
simultaneously on cdma2000 networks, coupled with a new high-speed digital
receiver, the system makes troubleshooting complex networks up to two times
faster than before. Utilizing client-server technology for packet-switched data
measurements, the system provides RF engineers with the end-to-end perspective
necessary for a robust cdma2000 network. This flexible system can control up to
four receivers and four phones at once, which can reduce the need for repeated
network testing.

-- The Agilent OPAS32 analysis software -- this tool helps service providers
achieve and maintain optimum cdma2000 network performance. By analyzing
information gathered from drive-test equipment, OPAS32 generates customized
reports that identify network problems. RF engineers use this information to
quickly correct network problems, which increases subscriber satisfaction and
reduces engineering expenses.

-- The Agilent E6482A Wizard -- for service providers in the network planning
stage, the E6482A Wizard is the industry's only cdma2000 network planning and
design tool that models network conditions at the deployment phase. By modeling
network conditions before actual base stations are installed, the E6482A Wizard
streamlines the deployment and optimization of new and overlay networks. The
E6482A Wizard provides the ability to completely simulate a network and model
various subscriber usage patterns, ensuring complete and reliable network
performance at system buildout.

-- The Agilent E6393B mobile station test set -- this is an economical
diagnostic repair solution designed to reduce mobile phone test and repair
costs. Designed for use in retail locations, the test set features the best
price-to-value ratio on the market and reduces the number of no-trouble-found
phones that otherwise would be sent into the repair pipeline. This increases
subscriber satisfaction and reduces cost for the service provider.

-- Services and training -- Agilent also offers complete consulting services
and training for wireless networks, including an all-new training curriculum
for cdma2000. Staff engineers provide services to operators and manufacturers
worldwide to ensure cdma2000 networks are designed, built and operated as
efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

Agilent's line of products and services for cdma2000 networks is being demonstrated at the CDMA Americas Congress trade show, Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, at the San Diego Convention Center The San Diego Convention Center is the main convention center for the city of San Diego, California. It is located in the Marina district of downtown San Diego near the Gaslamp Quarter, at 111 West Harbor Drive.  (booth no. 325).
