"The Unity-863 has been embedded with high-end design-for-test (DFT DFT - discrete Fourier transform ) technologies to serve sophisticated testing requirements," said Cheng Xu, director of MPRC. "The Agilent 93000 SOC Series tester is widely recognized as a leader in the DFT arena, and has a track record of success in China. Agilent's comprehensive technology solution, along with its professional service and support team, has contributed greatly to the success of the Unity-863 SOC CPU volume production test."

"Peking University is one of Agilent's strategic partners in China, and we are extremely pleased to help bring the Unity-863 SOC CPU to volume production," said Paul Yang, general manager for Agilent's Semiconductor Test Equipment Group in China. "Agilent is committed to assisting in the long-term development of our partners in China, lending our worldwide semiconductor test experience and total product and technology solutions."

The Unity-863 SOC CPU was co-developed by MPRC and Beijing PKU PKU: see phenylketonuria.  Unity Microsystems Technology, with support from the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) under the Chinese government's Tenth Five-Year Technology Development Plan. The Unity-863 SOC CPU adopts the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's 0.25 um process, integrating the domestically developed Unicore32 CPU core and Unicore-F64 FPU (Floating Point Unit) A computer circuit that handles floating point operations.

The Unity-863 integrates high performance, low power and low cost to create a valuable processing solution for high-speed, high-reliability applications in government, business and education markets.

About the Agilent 93000 SOC Series

The Agilent 93000 SOC Series is the industry's fastest growing, lowest cost single, scalable platform with over 600 installed systems. The Agilent 93000 SOC Series is designed to meet both the demanding performance and cost challenges of SOC testing. Models are configured to span the widest range of applications that may require ultra high-speed digital data rates, up to 10 Gb/s, and the broadest range of mixed-signal and RF capabilities. With this range of capabilities, the 93000 SOC Series is the first choice for high volume manufacturing.
