Altair's ALT2150 is the industry's smallest and lowest-power-consumption Mobile WiMAX baseband processor. Measuring a mere 7x7mm and consuming below 100mW in a 5Mbit/sec download scenario, the ALT2150 is the ideal choice for device and module manufacturers integrating mobile WiMAX in their products.

"Outstanding performance and short test times are key requirements for manufacturers looking to test their Mobile WiMAX devices -- and they are the key features found in Agilent's N8300A test set," said Niels Fache, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Mobile Broadband Division. "These capabilities, coupled with Altair chipset-specific calibration and verification software, will ensure that handheld-device manufacturers realize the faster, more efficient calibration and verification test times they demand."

"As an industry leader in manufacturing and conformance solutions, Agilent's depth of expertise will play a crucial role in helping our customers test and verify their designs," said Eran Eshed, co-founder and vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Altair. "Combining our expertise in this strategic partnership will make it easier for manufacturers to integrate Mobile WiMAX into their products, driving development of Mobile WiMAX devices to market faster and more efficiently."
