Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today announced that a number of its products have been recognized for innovation and technology leadership by several leading trade journals. The products include a broad range of hardware and software for testing of PCI Express and wireless products, communications networks, and design-for-test (DFT).

Test & Measurement World Best in Test Award

Test & Measurement World magazine chose the Agilent E2960 test series for PCI Express as one of 12 winners of its 2003 Best in Test award. In addition, the Agilent N4901A serial bit error ratio tester (BERT) and Agilent SmarTest PG CTL Browser for DFT were recognized with honorable mentions.

Agilent's RF Design Environment (RFDE) electronic design automation (EDA) software was awarded Microwaves & RF magazine's Top Products of 2003 award.

The Agilent N4901A serial BERT is a finalist in the test and measurement category of EDN Magazine's 2003 Innovation Program. In addition, Agilent's article titled, "Single-ended or differential? That is the question," written by Mike McTigue, lead hardware R&D engineer for Agilent's Design Validation Division, is a finalist in EDN's new award program recognizing the year's best contributed articles. The award winners, which are selected by EDN readers, will be announced March 29, 2004.

Photonics Spectra Magazine 2003 Circle of Excellence Award

The Agilent 86119A terahertz optical sampler was a winner of Photonics Spectra magazine's 2003 Circle of Excellence award and was recognized as one of the 25 most technically innovative products of the year.

DesignCon Best Paper Award

Agilent received DesignCon 2004's Best Paper Award for "Testing of High-Speed Serial I/O Interfaces Based on Spectral Jitter Decomposition," co-authored by Rainer Plitschka, application consultant in Agilent's Digital Verification Solutions Division, and Bernd Laquai, test methodology research consultant in Agilent's Computation and Communications Semiconductor Test Division.
