, voice of the global fabless business model, announces Young Sohn, president of Agilent Technologies' semiconductor products group, will deliver a presentation at the first Distinguished Speaker Series and Expert Roundtable scheduled for March 2, 2005, at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose.

Sohn's presentation, "The Changing Face of the Worldwide Semiconductor Industry, and the Growing Need for Innovation," will discuss the state of the industry, why innovation is needed, driving innovation in the enterprise, and examples of emerging disruptive technologies. In addition, Sohn will present a case study on solid state lighting. Following the presentation, an expert roundtable including Arnab Chanda, vice president, senior semiconductor analyst, Lehman Brothers Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LEH), founded in 1850, is a diversified, global financial services firm. It is a participant in investment banking, equity and fixed income sales, research and trading, investment management, private equity, and private banking. ; Rob Chaplinsky, partner, Mohr Davidow Ventures; John Castor, independent member, board of directors Genesis Microchip Genesis Microchip Inc. is a leading edge world wide supplier of integrated circuits (ICs) for video processors in flat panel LCD TVs and Monitors. The program will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

The FSA will host a technical presentation from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. to discuss the development of model licensing agreements (MLAs) for use by the fabless community.
