The blazing, ongoing success of "Angel," the debut single from The Jones Gang's critically acclaimed debut "Any Day Now" -- hitting #4 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Sales Chart and #2 on FMQB's AC40 Radio Chart -- proves not only that America still has a heart for power ballads, but that a trio of legendary British Rockers (Kenney Jones, Rick Wills and lead singer Robert Hart) can stir up the same kind of consumer energy as pop, rap, hip-hop and alt rock icons, and even American Idols.
Woods' artwork is playing a major role in the ongoing Jones Gang co-marketing efforts by the band's label, AAO Music's Reality, and its partner Trans World Entertainment, the largest music retailer in the U.S. In addition to multiple 40-ft. roadside billboards in Cleveland, Chicago, Philadelphia and St. Louis, the tops of taxicabs throughout the state of Florida (including a full 1/3 of the vehicles in Ft. Lauderdale alone) will feature a dual ad for USA 3000 Airlines and The Jones Gang, with the airplane image the common link.
In addition, AAO Music has partnered with the Philly-based USA 3000 Airlines to emblazon The Jones Gang album cover on aircraft. The group's logo and album title appear on the tail, while Woods' drawing appears on the fuselage. From the moment they board, passengers will also be treated to a colorful barrage of Jones Gang literature, imagery and music -- including flyers with details about a $2500 vacation giveaway contest, EPK's airing on f.y.e. TV onboard and cocktail napkins.
The powerful Point-of-Purchase presence at all 900 Transworld owned stores nationwide will be complemented online by the availability of a free download of the song "Red Hot" on the f.y.e. Download Zone.
