Agfa and Parametric Technology Announce Unique Font Initiative.

), announced an agreement today to include Agfa's UFST font technology, along with 42 of Agfa's scalable TrueType fonts, within Release 21 of Parametric Technology's Pro/ENGINEER product development software. With this enhancement, Pro/Engineer 21 will continue to run on multiple platforms, including Unix, Windows 95 and Windows NT but will provide Pro/ENGINEER users a simplified way to generate scalable, industry-standard typefaces.

By including Agfa's industry-leading Universal Font Scaling Technology, Pro/ENGINEER solutions will now provide customers with the ability to seamlessly incorporate high-quality fonts in their design process and generate a more consistent look and feel between prototypes and end products, resulting in real feature differentiation in the marketplace. In addition, Parametric's customers will have the option to order custom fonts or specific typefaces directly from Agfa, owner of the largest and most comprehensive library of typefaces in the world.
