ColorTune Screening and Color Tool Kits for OEMs

Agfa Monotype's ColorTune tool kits have been developed to answer the growing need for Oce and other OEMs to produce high-quality, color-enabled devices as rapidly as possible -- within the OEM's own lab environment. Oce has licensed two kits: the ColorTune Color Tool Kit and the ColorTune Screening Tool Kit. Each kit is based on technologies patented by Agfa.

Developed for Microsoft(r) Windows(r) environments, the ColorTune Screening Tool Kit contains simple tools that allow engineers to design halftone screens without constraints on angles or frequencies. High-quality screens can be created for binary, multilevel mul·ti·lev·el

The ColorTune Color Tool Kit, available for both Windows and Macintosh(r) platforms, contains software that allows Oce to create, edit, preview and optimize manufacturer color device profiles. Source code is also included in the color kit for Agfa Monotype's Color Management System Software that translates the colors of an original image into the truest representation obtainable on the output device. Color management works from a profile of the output device, typically a digital printer or offset press, and works backward to the source of the material such as a  (CMS (1) See content management system and color management system.
