Agfa Monotype, a leading provider of fonts and font technologies, announced today that it has added a new designer to its world-renowned typographic engineering team. Carl Crossgrove will be working at Agfa Monotype's Palo Alto, California type design office.

Mr. Crossgrove is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. He comes to Agfa Monotype with previous work experience in the font department at Adobe and as a freelance graphic designer. Some of Carl's past font development work includes the multiple master font Reliq for Adobe, ITC Minska, and he assisted in the design of Agfa Monotype's own Curlz font. In addition to developing his own typeface designs Origami, Mundo Sans and Wakerobin, Carl has contracted with Agfa Monotype to create many custom typeface designs including Greek and Cyrillic sans serif designs for Agilent Technologies.

An advanced degree of training and work experience is required in order to be able to develop the high-quality custom corporate typefaces and multilingual fonts commonly associated with Agfa Monotype.
