Agfa, the market's leading manufacturer of high-end digital imaging equipment, today announced the worldwide launch of the ePhoto 1280 a feature-rich, top-of-the-line digital camera for under $1,000. Agfa's ePhoto 1280 is the latest addition to the company's affordably-priced line of digital cameras, providing photo-quality, 1.2 million pixel images and elegant design for professionals who use photos in their work.

The ePhoto 1280 is designed for the quality-conscious, and those business professionals who need to capture images for documentation or communication in fields such as real estate, insurance, law enforcement, contracting, and design. Several key features of the ePhoto 1280 make this camera truly unique to the digital camera marketplace. First is the camera's FlashTrack (TM) 3x optical swivel zoom lens. The movable lens permits maximum flexibility when taking hard-to-get photos, while the flash remains in line with the lens at all times, ensuring proper exposure.

In addition, the ePhoto 1280 includes a superior 2-inch, high resolution color-LCD, providing crisp images for framing or playing back shots under any light conditions. The camera also provides virtually unlimited picture storage with SmartMedia (TM) removable flash memory.

With PhotoWise, users can organize images on their computer and create slide shows that can be viewed by even those who don't have the PhotoWise application.
