Agfa Announces Team to Lead North American Sales Efforts In Newly-Combined Medical Imaging Organization.

Agfa Corporation, one of the world's foremost medical imaging companies, today announced key appointments to its Sales Leadership Team. The appointments were announced by Robert S. Pryor, Vice President of North America Sales, following Agfa's recent acquisition of Sterling Diagnostic Imaging, Inc.

Sales Function Realigned to be Most Responsive to Customers

"We are keeping our customers' needs foremost in our minds as we integrate these two world-class imaging companies," Pryor stated. "As a result, we have realigned our sales organization. We've separated the IMPAX digital image management system and CR (computed radiology) functions from conventional imaging and hardcopy systems sales so that we can be most responsive to all of our customers."

John Scarano will lead IMPAX Solution Sales North America, responsible for IMPAX sales to both the commercial and government markets. Reporting to Scarano:

-- John DeSantis will be responsible for IMPAX sales to the Government Market. DeSantis previously organized and directed Agfa's military radiology sales under the Department of Defense's Digital Imaging Network-Picture Archiving and Communications (DIN-PACS) program.

-- Andrea Harding will manage IMPAX sales for the Commercial Market, Central & Western Zones. She was previously responsible for Western Zone PACS Sales at Sterling.

-- Anthony Passarello will lead IMPAX sales for the Commercial Market, Northeast & Southern Zones. He had been Agfa's Director of Southeastern Zone Sales.

Imaging Systems

Each of the following Zone General Managers has extensive sales, leadership and management experience and will lead Agfa's team of Zone Managers and Account Executives throughout the NAFTA Region:

-- Cindy Andrew-Formica will head Eastern Zone sales. She held a similar position with Sterling.

-- James Banghart will lead Southern Zone sales. He formerly managed PACS and Printer Sales at Sterling.

-- Lawrence Degenfelder remains in the Central Zone where he formerly served as Agfa's Zone Director.

-- Frank McGrath will head Western Zone sales. He previously held a similar position with Sterling.

-- Bruce Gower will be responsible for sales in the Corporate Healthcare sector. He previously served at Sterling as Zone General Manager, Southeast region.

-- Julian Sale will lead the Canadian Medical Imaging operations. He had served in a similar function at Sterling.

-- Guenther Schreiber will continue to lead Agfa's Medical Imaging organization in Mexico.
