Agency opening Midlands branch; MERGER: An optimistic Sector Marketing buys out The JMB Partnership.

A LEADING international marketing and event management agency has established a new division in the Midlands.

Sector Marketing, based in Clevedon near Bristol, has bought out sales and lead generation specialist The JMB JMB Journal of Molecular Biology

The JMB Partnership, which has been established since 2006 and employs ten staff, will move to new premises in Barford trading under the Sector name. Sector Marketing founder and managing director Tony Male said the merger was a move to build and expand on the company's current offer and be in a position to take advantage of increasing business confidencS e. Mr Male said: "We are beginning to see the first indications that there will be an upturn in growth over the next two to three years.

"This merger not only strengthens our core skill base, but puts us in prime position to capitalise Verb 1. capitalise - supply with capital, as of a business by using a combination of capital used by investors and debt capital provided by lenders

 on market growth when it comes.

We have worked within the Midlands for more than a decade and this is the perfect opportunity for us to increase our presence within the region and support our clients with a regional resource.

"We worked with the JMB Partnership on Bridge to Growth, an initiative set up by Advantage West Midlands West Midlands, former metropolitan county, central England. Created in the 1974 local government reorganization, the county embraced the Birmingham conurbation and comprised seven metropolitan districts: Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull,  to offer help and incentives for European companies to establish divisions in the West Midlands.

"It was immediately obvious that we offered complementary services and over the last six to nine months we have developed a strategic alliance.

"The acquisition was a natural step which enables us to continue to grow our client base and offer additional services to new and existing clients."

James Blakemore, who founded The JMB Group, will join the board of directors at Sector Marketing.

He said: "We have gone through a period of high growth and will now be able to build on our success to date. Existing clients will receive the benefits of additional disciplines offered by Sector."
