Agency's travel boost; Picture special.


STAFF at a Huddersfield travel agency have given a boost to a charity.

The Co-op Travel office in Marsh raised pounds 1,339 for the Neurofibromatosis Neurofibromatosis Definition

Neurofibromatosis (NF), or von Recklinghausen disease, is a genetic disease in which patients develop multiple soft tumors (neurofibromas). These tumors occur under the skin and throughout the nervous system.
 Association, which helps research into a disease similar to cystic fibrosis cystic fibrosis (sĭs`tĭk fībrō`sĭs), inherited disorder of the exocrine glands (see gland), affecting children and young people; median survival is 25 years in females and 30 years in males. .

Shop spokesman Keeley Byford said they had chosen the charity because a colleague's daughter had the condition.

Staff raised the money through raffles, a shopping trip to London and a three-legged pub crawl.
