in many human diseases. Agencourt has signed a licensing agreement with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for the sequencing assays developed in the laboratories of cancer researchers Matthew Meyerson, M.D., Ph.D., and William R. Sellers, M.D. Agencourt will offer both pre-validated sequencing assays and a kinase discovery program in which polymorphisms in over 92 kinases have previously been mapped. Financial terms of the licensing agreement were not released.

"We are delighted that Agencourt will be offering our assays to the research community," said Dr. Meyerson of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. "The immediate availability of these assays will allow researchers to achieve rapid SNP and mutation discovery in the kinase field."

"Researchers have known for some time that kinases appear to play a very important role in cancer. This extensive set of pre-validated sequencing assays for human kinase genes will greatly accelerate research aimed at associating kinase polymorphisms with disease development, progression and treatment," said Lynn Doucette-Stamm, Ph.D., Vice President of Business Development at Agencourt Bioscience. "We are very proud to provide this valuable resource to the research community, knowing that it could directly influence the success of patient therapy."

About Agencourt Bioscience Corporation
