ProSwap provides flexibility, true "plug & play" capabilities and ease in system upgrades. It does this by addressing conflicts between the operating system operating system (OS)

, BIOS and other drivers being used at the same time during device swapping. ProSwap does away with the need for BIOS manipulations each time a computer is set up or a new device is installed. By eliminating the need to turn the system off and reboot, it also eliminates critical power drain on the battery.

ProSwap automatically detects and determines the device type. On insertion, a specific device icon is created in the "My Computer" window. Messaging notifies the user if any files are open before the device is removed. On removal, the device icon is removed.

After experiencing the benefits of warm swap, users can decide whether to buy ProSwap or delete it after 30 days. Users deciding to buy simply purchase an unlock key for $49.95 from Agate's Web site or by emailing, phoning or faxing Agate.
