AgSource Seeds, Inc., Nevada, Ia and NuTech Seed, LC, Leland, IA, will merge their operations effective September 1, 2006, to complement each organization's ability to provide the best seed possible for corn and soybean producers.


AgSource Seeds, Inc., Nevada, Ia and NuTech Seed, LC, Leland, IA, will merge their operations effective September 1, 2006, to complement each organization's ability to provide the best seed possible for corn and soybean producers. The new company will market AgSource and NuTech brand seed for the 2007 growing season growing season, period during which plant growth takes place. In temperate climates the growing season is limited by seasonal changes in temperature and is defined as the period between the last killing frost of spring and the first killing frost of autumn, at which time annual plants die and biennials and perennials cease active growth and become dormant for the cold winter months., with NuTech becoming the primary brand in 2008 and beyond.

Ken Rose, AgSource cofounder, will serve as GM for the new organization.
