AgION Technologies Appoints David May Vice President of Worldwide Sales; Former GE Exec to Lead Global Sales of Silver-Based Antimicrobial Technology.

WAKEFIELD, Mass. -- AgION Technologies, Inc. (AgION), a leader in providing engineered antimicrobial solutions based on silver, today announced that David May has joined the company as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. In this role, Mr. May will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's sales plans and processes on a global and regional basis. He will direct all sales operations as part of the company's strategy of increasing awareness of AgION's safe and effective antimicrobial technology in target markets including food and water, textiles, construction, consumer products and healthcare.

Mr. May has more than 20 years of successful sales management, marketing, and strategic business planning and development experience. Prior to joining AgION, Mr. May worked at General Electric in their Advanced Materials department as National Sales Manager for Specialty Fluids. In this role, he was responsible for the development and implementation of sales programs, new product introductions, profit management, and staffing of the sales organization in North America. Previously, Mr. May worked at Ashland Distribution Company in the Fine Ingredients Division, first as Regional Market Specialist for its Personal Care and Pharmaceuticals division and subsequently as Manager of Marketing and Corporate Accounts. He has also held positions at Pepsi Cola Bottling Group, WEBCO USA and Purex Corporation. May received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego.
