 today announced a strategic relationship with Speednames.com, a leading global domain name registrar An organization that manages Internet domain names. Any person or company that wants a presence on the Internet must register a unique name with one of the many registrars, such as Network Solutions (www.netsol.com) or Go Daddy (www.godaddy.com). . Under the terms of the agreement Afternic.com users will be able to register country-code top-level domains (networking) top-level domain - The last and most significant component of an Internet fully qualified domain name, the part after the last ".". For example, host wombat.doc.ic.ac.uk is in top-level domain "uk" (for United Kingdom).  (ccTLD's) through Speednames.com while Speednames users will have access to domain names on auction or appraisal at Afternic.com.

The agreement calls for aggressive online cross-promotion of each company's services in a variety of ways

-- Afternic.com users will have the option of registering ccTLD's

from a variety of points throughout the site.

-- Speednames.com users searching for domain names will have

access to aftermarket information at Afternic.com including

names for sale and appraisal details if the name they search

for is listed at Afternic.

-- Afternic.com and Speednames.com will feature reciprocal

graphical links to build brand awareness of each company and

facilitate ease of navigation when accessing services.
