Kintera's web-based tools helped ASAS create the new online newsletter in an effort to build its list of supporters while providing informational and fun content for parents and children. The Rock will be a regular contributor to the newsletter. Kintera also helped the nonprofit create a more engaging web presence at www.afterschoolallstars.org by providing a site designed to educate and inform web visitors, and an area where supporters can donate easily and securely online.

Currently provided free of charge to approximately 45,000 kids in 15 cities throughout the United States, ASAS offers homework assistance, computer training, literacy programs and electives such as sports, performing arts, crafts and more. The nonprofit depends on generous donors to raise funds so it can fulfill its mission of providing after-school programming to every child in America by 2010.
