After saying 'goodbye' to a cool summer, Roncadin warms to winter with Florentine.

This past summer in Europe may have ranked poorly weather-wise, but it did not keep Roncadin GmbH from selling lots of ice cream products.

"Even with the coolness and rain in June and July, which delayed peak selling opportunities in France, Germany and Portugal, we successfully maintained our sales and market share," said Achim Schon, managing director of the Osnabruck, Germany-based company, which is a unit of the Arena Group.

"The overall ice cream market in Europe was down by 8% for the year through the end of July, but not us," he added. "We held our own because of less exposure in the impulse buying impulse buying ncompra impulsiva  segment, a strategy of avoiding price wars as much as possible, and continuing consumer interest in our innovative product assortment."

Now that summer is over, Roncadin is celebrating the fall and winter season with a new Landliebe treat--a choice creation called Creamy Landliebe Florentine.

The recipe for Creamy Landliebe Florentine is similar to that for the world-famous cookie cookie
