TARGET TGT, a discount retail chain, said that it expects June same-store sales to be near the lower end of its projected 3%-5% gain. Shares edged up.

AMERICAN SOFTWARE, AMSWA which makes supply chain management programs, said Q4 earnings more than doubled to 11 cents a share, 2 cents higher than views. Revenue rose 10% to $22.5 mil, below expectations. Shares rose.

LIVEPERSON, LPSN which makes software that enables companies to assist their customers online, agreed to be acquired for $40 mil by Kasamba, an Israeli customer service firm. Shares rose.

BOSTON SCIENTIFIC, BSX a medical device maker, will buy Remon Medical Technologies, which makes communication technology for implants. Financial terms were not disclosed. Boston Scientific edged up.

L3 COMMUNICATIONS LLL, a defense contractor, won a $600 mil deal for logistics support for the U.S. Army's command in charge of special operations.
