After 12 Years, New Library Celebrates Open House at Emerson Elementary School in Oakland Today.

Together with San Francisco and San Jose, the city comprises the fourth largest metropolitan area in the United States. , Calif. -- An open house to celebrate the grand opening of a working library at Emerson Elementary School Emerson Elementary School is part of River East Transcona School Division in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was built in 1979 as a community school, to provide services to this neighbourhood in the northeast of Winnipeg.  in Oakland will be held tonight, Wednesday, March 30 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The school is located at 4803 Lawson Avenue in Oakland.

, all local nonprofits, as well as from private donations, the library has been cleaned and organized, filled with new books, and has a professional librarian on site. Now, 12 years later, students from every classroom in the school visit the library once a week.

A community movement to re-open the library took place after the Grand Lake Kiwanis Club noticed that it had turned into a storage facility. The club's mission is to provide books for Oakland students.

The press is invited to attend today's grand opening.
