African challenge for John.


ONE of Merseyside's top military men has been given a crucial mission in Africa.

West Kirkby-based Lieutenant Colonel John Davies John Davies may refer to:

All the volunteers within the RMR pass through the same rigorous commando course as the regulars.

Col Davies, 47, said: "I volunteered for the job because you never know if you'll have the opportunity again.

"The aim is to maintain peace and stability following the civil war until the Liberians are in a position to look after those things."

Col Davies was badly injured in the Falklands conflict in 1982 and returned to the islands in 2006 to complete the journey to Port Stanley Port Stanley
