African Union Panel on Darfur (AUPD) - Download Full Report.


October 24, 2009 (WASHINGTON) -- On Thursday October 29 the African Union African Union (AU), international organization established in 2002 by the nations of the former Organization of African Unity (OAU). The AU is the successor organization to the OAU, with greater powers to promote African economic, social, and political integration,  Peace and Security Council PSC (Public Service Commission) Same as PUC.  will meet in Abuja to discuss the report submitted by a panel it established earlier this year to examine the situation in Darfur.

Members of the African Union Panel on Darfur at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa Addis Ababa (ăd`ĭs ăb`əbə) [Amharic,=new flower], city (1994 pop. 2,112,737), capital of Ethiopia. It is situated at c.8,000 ft (2,440 m) on a well-watered plateau surrounded by hills and mountains.  October 18, 2009 (AU website)

The report has not been made public yet pending the conclusion of the PSC summit where it is expected to endorse the findings of the comission led by former South African president Thabo Mbeki. Upon the numerous requests recieved, Sudan Tribune is making the full report available for its readers.
