African Americans lose boardroom seats.

African Americans lost ground in the boardrooms of corporate America between 2004 and 2008, according to a recent study commissioned by The Executive Leadership Council. The number of board of directors seats held by African Americans at the nation's largest corporations has declined by 36, or 0.7%, in the last four years. Blacks remain severely underrepresented, with just 413 of the 5,556 board seats.
