Africa Oy 2009 festival is a huge hit.THE UK's largest free celebration of African music African music, the music of the indigenous peoples of Africa. Sub-Saharan African music has as its distinguishing feature a rhythmic complexity common to no other region. and culture was staged in Liverpool this weekend.Africa Oy 2009 saw thousands of music lovers descend on the city's Sefton Park on Saturday and Sunday. Artists performing on the park stage included Kasa Masa, Group Loulou, Daby Tour, Freddie McGregor, Chino Chino (chē`nō), city (1990 pop. 59,682), San Bernardino co., S Calif.; founded 1887, inc. 1910. It is the business and processing center of a diversified farming (notably dairying) area. and Laden & the Millennium Band from Jamaica. They were joined by other African music stars including Muntu Valdo, from Cameroon, Gordon Masiala & NKA NKA abbr. no known allergies Musica, Kanda Bongo Man and the UK's Carroll Thompson with a full live band. Organiser Paul Dunhaney said: "The festival was absolutely amazing this weekend. "The atmosphere was amazing. There was such a calm ambience." The free event was launched in the city in 1992.
