Africa: a personal request from an IABC member.I was very moved by your Africa feature (January--February 2007) as I spent eight and a half years in both Ethiopia and South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa. as a schoolgirl. I've been in corporate communication for 30-plus years, and am a member of the IABC IABC International Association of Business Communicators IABC Indo-Americans for Better Community 100 Club. I've traveled throughout Ethiopia, Europe and the U.S. in search of my former classmates, and had help from many men and women around the world to find them. (It turns out more than half of my class now live in the U.S.--three work for the United Nations. Wasn't that an amazing class!)
