AfriOre Limited: Appointment of New Interim Chief Financial Officer.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados -- AfriOre Limited (TSX:AFO) wishes to announce that, in anticipation of the closing of the sale of the Springlake Project (as announced in the press release dated August 3, 2004), it has been decided that Mr. Bruce Tanner will discontinue acting as Chief Financial Officer of AfriOre. This decision was made in order to avoid any conflicts of interest as the purchaser has confirmed that, on closing of the sale, Mr. Tanner will be offered a position with the purchaser. Ms. Susan Myburgh, the controller of AfriOre, has been appointed interim Chief Financial Officer.
