Aflac names Amos president.


Aflac Inc. has named Paul Paul, 1901–64, king of the Hellenes (1947–64), brother and successor of George II. He married (1938) Princess Frederika of Brunswick. During Paul's reign Greece followed a pro-Western policy, and the Cyprus question was temporarily resolved.  S. Amos II president. In 2004, Amos joined Aflac's headquarters as executive vice president of Alfac U.S. With his direction, a new branding initiative to increase consumers' understanding of Aflac products was successfully launched in 2005. During this time, Amos also restructured Aflac's training department and contoured sales support and administrative duties in order to efficiently support the activities of Aflac's sales team.

Amos was named chief operating officer of Aflac U.S. in 2006.

"His drive, energy and leadership have greatly contributed to Aflac's U.S. operations," said President and Chief Financial Officer of Aflac Inc., Kriss KRISS Korean Research Institute of Standards and Science  Cloninger, of Amos' appointment. "Under his leadership, I believe Aflac U.S. will continue to generate strong sales and operating results."

Before joining Aflac, Amos worked in the corporate legal division of the legal firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in Washington, D.C.
