Afinsa States Once Again Its Long-Term Plan to Remain a Shareholder of Greg Manning Auctions, Inc.

MADRID, Spain -- Afinsa has only ever contemplated its presence in Greg Manning Auctions, Inc. (NASDAQ:GMAI GMAI - Greg Manning Auctions, Inc) since 1996 from the perspective of being a strategic partner, a partner who is active and committed to the present and future of this company.

The founding in 2003 of GMAI-Auctentia has meant the culmination of an entire professional journey, given concrete representation over the years through the creation of and participation in numerous companies which have positioned themselves as authentic leaders in their respective spheres of influence and activity. The integration of GMAI of all our businesses linked to the classic sector of collectibles has represented a milestone in our history, GMAI-Auctentia becoming the heir and natural continuation of Afinsa's strategy in that sector.

In view of the recent mis-information which emphasized the risk that Afinsa could at some time sell its stake in GMAI, the Board of Directors of Afinsa wishes to make manifest to the financial market that it knows and supports the strategy for growth of GMAI, aimed, amongst other ends, at taking advantage of the great opportunities for acquisitions existing nowadays, to build a great international group of auction houses for collectibles and art, and that its current investment in GMAI forms part, therefore, of a long-term plan which is still just beginning, the targets achieved up to now being a foretaste of much more ambitious goals.

In this respect, Afinsa reiterates its clear determination to remain in GMAI and not to sell the shares that it currently possesses in this company.
