WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 4, 2003

Afghan Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and Women's Affairs Minister Habiba Sarabi Dr. Habiba Sarabi (born 1956) is a hematologist, politician, and reformer of the post-Taliban reconstruction of Afghanistan. In 2005, she was appointed as governor of Bamyan Province by President Hamid Karzai — the first woman to ever be a governor of any province in the  will participate in the second "Afghanistan-America Summit on Recovery and Reconstruction" taking place at Georgetown University Georgetown University, in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C.; Jesuit; coeducational; founded 1789 by John Carroll, chartered 1815, inc. 1844. Afghan government officials along with U.S. policy makers and leading academic experts will assess the short and long term needs of Afghanistan's recovery efforts. Participants will discuss critical issues and solutions involving security, political and economic stability, the newly released draft constitution, and the role of Afghan women in post-war Afghanistan.
