Affiliated Resources Corporation Announces the Election of New Board Member.

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1998--Affiliated Resources Corporation (OTC BB:SYTS) today announced the election of Edward Feighan as a member of the company's board of directors. Chairman Peter Vanucci stated "I am delighted that Mr. Feighan has joined our board. His experience will be particularly helpful given Affiliated's near term growth strategies."

Edward Feighan is currently the managing partner of Alliance Limited, a Cleveland, Ohio-based firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions and merchant banking services. From November 1996 to December 1997, Mr. Feighan served as the founding president, chief executive officer and director of Century Business Services Inc. (formerly International Alliance Services Inc.) During his tenure, the publicly-owned Century undertook a strategic redirection to become one of the country's fastest growing business services companies. Throughout most of 1998, Mr. Feighan served as senior vice president of Century. Century has recently been recognized as the best growth company in Ohio by the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Mr. Feighan continues to provide consulting services to Century.

Mr. Feighan is, as well, a founding partner of American Foreign Capital Partners (AFCAP). Maintaining offices in Cleveland, Ohio, and St. Petersburg, Russia, AFCAP represents several multi-national businesses in the former Soviet Union.

From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Feighan was a principal in Alliance Holding Corporation, a privately owned specialty insurance business. The Alliance companies provided niche market insurance underwriting for businesses nationwide. Alliance merged its operating entities into Century Business Services in 1996.

Mr. Feighan served 20 consecutive years in elected office beginning in 1972. He served as a State Representative for six years, a Cuyahoga County Commissioner for four years, and as a Member of the United States House of Representatives for 10 years. Congressman Feighan has been recognized as a leading authority on foreign policy and international trade and finance.

Throughout his tenure in Congress, Congressman Feighan served on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In 1979, Congressman Feighan received a Presidential Appointment and Commission from President Jimmy Carter to serve on the National Advisory Council on Economic Opportunity.

As a Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Feighan worked extensively with several human rights organizations and led or joined several human rights missions to Korea, El Salvador, North Africa and the Middle East. Additionally, he developed substantial experience in dealing with both American and multilateral financial organizations including the World Bank, the Overseas Private Investment Council, the International Monetary Fund, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Since departing Congress in 1993, Congressman Feighan has served as a member of the Commission on Privatization in Russia; the U.S. Commission for improving the United Nations; the Board of Trustees of the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs; the Handgun Control Federation of Ohio; the National Council of International Programs; and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Congressman Feighan earned a law degree from Cleveland State University in 1978 after completing his undergraduate studies at Borromeo Catholic Seminary, Cleveland, Ohio and Loyola University, New Orleans, La. He and his wife, Nadine Hopwood Feighan, have four children.
