Affiliated Foods Southwest Receives Additional $4,000 Donation for Team Affiliated Charity Classic.


LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 1999--

Little Rock-based Affiliated Foods Southwest Inc., a grocery cooperative serving the southeast United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. , has partnered with The Pillsbury Co., a leading food manufacturer, to launch the "Giggles for Charity Challenge."

The "Giggles for Charity Challenge" is an in-store promotion held at participating Affiliated Foods Southwest stores from May 2 through May 29, 1999. By registering at a local Affiliated Foods Southwest store and calling and recording their best giggle, participants help raise $4,000 for Affiliated Foods Southwest's Team Affiliated Charity Classic which donates money to eight charities in the Little Rock area.

The "Giggles for Charity Challenge" is a way for Affiliated Foods Southwest customers to take advantage of specially priced Pillsbury products, contribute to Team Affiliated Charity Classic and have a lot of fun. Giggling can actually make people feel good. Experts say laughter reduces stress, eases depression and strengthens the immune system immune system
