Affiliated Computer Services announces four-year outsourcing contract with Mercury Marine.DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 15, 1996--Affiliated Computer Services Inc. (NASDAQ/NM:ACSA), a leading information technology services company, announced today it signed a four-year agreement with Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :BC), to provide outsourcing and facilities-management services to the manufacturer of marine engines. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The outsourcing contract calls for ACS (Asynchronous Communications Server) See network access server. to operate Mercury Marine's mainframe computer system and to provide facilities-management services for Mercury Marine's local area networks, wide area networks (LAN/WAN LAN/WAN Local Area Network/Wide Area Network ) and PC desktop systems. Mercury Marine's computer network runs a range of business-critical functions, including order entry, manufacturing, general ledger and payroll.
