Aetna Signs Contract with Nashville's Saint Thomas and Baptist Hospitals.

) announced today that it has signed a two-year agreement with Saint Thomas Saint Thomas, island, Virgin Islands
Saint Thomas, island (2000 pop. 51,181), 32 sq mi (83 sq km), one of the U.S. Virgin Islands, West Indies. Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Univ. of the Virgin Islands are on Saint Thomas.
 Hospital and Baptist Hospital, returning the two facilities to the company's Nashville-area managed care network. With the contract, Aetna now has agreements with all the major hospitals in the Nashville metropolitan area.

"We're proud to say that Aetna members now have access to every major hospital in the Nashville area, giving them the flexibility and choice that is so important to them."

In addition to the 35 hospitals, Aetna's Nashville-area network includes 904 primary care physicians and 2,023 specialists. Aetna provides health benefits to more than 170,000 members in Tennessee.
